Tamara de Lempicka's Contributions to the Art Deco Movement
I went forward with prototype 1 but incorporated the timeline from prototype 2 by briefly mentioning the main events and emotions occurring during the years listed. The book will explore a variety of materials like die cuts, vinyl, and pop-ups. Art Deco was known for its emphasis on strong lines, geometric shapes, and bold materials that stand out when found next to other eras of art and architecture.
The cover of this book has die cuts from one of de Lempicka’s abstract paintings. There will be an introduction to Art Deco, what the movement is, and how it started along with the exposition that first started the movement. Then Tamara de Lempicka is introduced and mentions her lifetime and her career as a woman Polish painter. She was known for her polished Art-Deco portraits of aristocrats and the wealthy, and for her highly stylized paintings of nudes.
